What study programs are available in Romania?
Romanian universities offer a wide range of programs including Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, IT, Architecture, Business, Law, and Social Sciences many of which are taught in English.
Do I need to speak Romanian to study there?
No. Most programs available to international students are taught in English. Some universities also offer programs in French or German.
What are the language requirements?
Most universities require proof of English proficiency at a minimum B2 level. This can be demonstrated through a certificate (such as IELTS or TOEFL) or through a language interview conducted by the university. Additionally, some universities offer programs that include a preparatory year of Romanian language, making this a viable option for students who wish to study in Romanian or who do not yet meet the English language requirements.
How much does it cost to study in Romania?
Tuition fees vary by program and institution. As a general guide:
– General programs at public universities: €2,000 – €5,000/year
– Medicine, Dentistry, Architecture: €6,000 – €10,000/year
– Private universities (Business, Law, etc.): €3,000 – €4,000/year
Are scholarships available?
Yes. Some Romanian universities and government programs offer scholarships to international students. We help you identify and apply for available funding opportunities.
What documents do I need to apply?
The standard documents required include:
– Valid passport
– High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree (depending on the level of study)
– Transcript of records
– English language certificate (minimum B2)
– Medical certificate
– Motivation letter (if required by the university)

Do I need a visa to study in Romania?
Students from outside the EU/EEA are required to apply for a long-stay student visa. Once you receive your Letter of Acceptance, we guide you through the visa application process step by step.
